About EN-Genius Network's Annual Product of the Year Awards
History
EN-Genius established the Product of the Year Awards in 2003. These awards recognize product excellence across the spectrum of technologies we cover, honoring those introductions which have best demonstrated strong technical merit, innovative design, and exceptional marketability.
How to be Considered
Eligibility for Product of the Year kudos is limited to those products which are reviewed by EN-Genius' team of editors in the course of a given calendar year. Because the categories for the awards emerge organically from the products we have reviewed, there is ample opportunity for products which are "uncategorizable" in other competitions to earn the Product of the Year limelight, for exceptional performance in niche markets often ignored by more traditional media.
If your product was reviewed early in the calendar year and you feel it a strong contender for Product of the Year honors, our editorial team welcomes November/December updates as to design wins, market performance, customer feedback, and so forth. Other than that, there is very little you need to do in order to be considered. We don't haggle or require you to submit essays or questionnaires explaining why your product should win; rather, our editors apply their technological expertise and market savvy to your existing information - just as they do with every weekly review - to "put their money where their mouth is" in determining the winners.
What Product of the Year Means to You
EN-Genius' annual wire service release of honored products, distributed early in the new year, is widely considered one of the most credible barometers of technical excellence in our industry. In addition to the actual award - which will be presented to your executives and design team in person whenever possible - your recognition entitles you to display the Product of the Year logo in conjunction with the winning part in printed and online materials as well as at industry events. It is our pleasure to provide you with logo graphics in a variety of formats to facilitate this.
