Concluding this series, this TechNote builds on the foundations established in the previous two installments. It discusses how to choose an operational amplifier (op amp) to drive a successive-approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC). We'll further explore how to optimize an external RC circuit (charge reservoir) for the desired performance. Example circuits and actual test results illustrate the selected design criteria.
