Oscilloscope Triggering Enhancements

Oscilloscope triggering can be enhanced with a little customization – especially lower-cost scopes lacking some of the features of laboratory-quality instruments. Even older lab scopes can be improved with some recreational electronics activity.
Oscilloscope triggering systems appear at the front-panel as two controls: trigger level and slope. Implementation can be envisioned in its simplest form as a comparator and slope polarity selector.
