The quest for the ultimate converter circuit topology came closer to the goal in the last TechNote. An additional ripple-steering winding can keep the ripple current internal to the converter so that both input and output currents are constant. An additional requirement of converters is sometimes that of input-output circuit isolation. This too can be achieved as a Cuk-derived enhancement.
