Practical Design Of A Buck Converter, Part IV Buck Converter Peak Current Control Loop by Dennis L Feucht
In the previous article of this series, the basic peak-current control scheme was set forth along with some circuit design details. In this article, we continue to analyze the current loop for the purpose of developing design equations. The mathematics becomes more involved because of the discrete, or switching, behavior of the converter, leading to such unexpected blocks in the diagram as a sample-and-hold function for the inductor current.
